MUSICA SACRA

We are pleased to invite your choir to be part of Musica Sacra festival in Croatia, festival of friendship dedicated to the beauty of the sacral choral music. The festival with the original name "Musica sacra über die Grenzen" which conductor Manfred Linsbauer started over 20 years ago with the idea that residents of Austria and neighboring countries create music together, was held in Croatia for the first time in 2015. The host countries of the previous editions of the festival were Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy and Slovenia, and thanks to the association Ars Cultura and mixed choir “Roženice” from Pazin with the support of the Touristic Board of Rovinj, Tourist Board of Vrsar and Maistra Hospitality Group, Croatia is marked on the festival's map and became its traditional host.

The festival will take place in the beautiful Istrian town of Vrsar and you’ll visit also Rovinj and central Istria where you will taste our Istrian traditional food with drinks. All participants will be staying together in Vrsar in the tourist resort near the sea.

The participating choirs will have workshops, three concerts with spectacular concert in the Church of St. Eufemia in Rovinj.
